This four-day trip will start from Fez passing through the Middle Atlas Mountains to Merzouga, Ouarzazate , then to Marrakech by one of our up-dated and full option vehicles.
Day 1 :Travel from Fez to Merzouga
Your private English speaking driver will take you in a very well-equipped (4×4) vehicle from your lodging to set out for an amazing journey to Merzouga, the doorstep of the Moroccan Sahara.
Optionally speaking, in this itinerary and once arriving in Merzouga we can pass either by Todra gorges or Alnif-N’kob, Agdaz then Ouarzazate.
Througout the way, you will certainly get astonished by the terrific cedar forest view of Ifrane city.
What is more tempting there is the Barbarous apes living in the area.
If you wish we can stop for taking some pictures.
Subsequently, we will continue our way to Midelt for a brief outing in this small mountainous Atlas city.
Lunch meal will be around Midelt. In the afternnon we will wind Ziz valley or Alnif as well as the Efous oasis.
These are mysterious sites for a photography scene.
Late in the afternoon, we will move to Arfoud for the overnight.
Day 2 : A visit to the museum of fossils, then to the Kasabah of Rissani.
After breakfast we will pay a short visit to Arfoud’s museum of fossils.
In a four wheel car, your private driver will be available to take you to uncover the Kasabah of Ressani and its wild environment.
For lunch, we suggest tasting « Al Madfouna »the Moroccan Saharan pizza.
Rissani as the previous capital of Erfoud is going to be our following stop by.
Rissani has always been a merchandizing centre in the area.
Since we are in Merzouga the doorstep of the Moroccan Sahara, it would be advisable to call in the Erg Chebbi desert.
The loveliness of sunrise and sunset is another must-see scenery.
Your local guide will take you in an amazing camel ride towards the desert.
Once you come to your lodgings , your guide will cook your evening meal and lit up the campfire.
Meanwhile, you can relax or climb the sandy hills.
Day 3 : From Merzouga to Ouarzazate.
This morning, we will leave Merzouga and head for Todra gorges, a very popular area for climbers since their walls are up to 300 meters.
By visiting Dades valley, you will undoubtedly enjoy some panoramic views.
Kelaat Mgouna is going to be our next stop.
This marvelous town has long been an economic, commercial and social place for the population living in the area.
Kelaat Mgouna is nationally celebrated by the yearly festival of roses.
After we suggest seeing the oasis of Soukora, a palm grove of 25 km², it is one of the few groves of countries still inhabited and cultivated classified as international heritage of UNESCO.
Today’s terminal is going to be in Ouarzazate where we will spend our third night.
Day 4 : From Ouarzazate, Ait Benhadou via Telouet kasabah-Tichka Pass then Marrakech
In the morning you will be driven comfortably in a full option (4×4) car towards Ait Ben hadou without missing the stop by Telouet.
Arriving in Ouarzazate, our first visit is going to concern the international Studio of Atlas.
We will move to Ait Benhaddou.
Again it is pinpointed as a world Heritage village by UNISCO.
Back in the past Ait Benhadou used to be a traditional interjection of caravans linking Marrakech with the southern Sahara.
Traders used to do business not only in goods but also in slaves.
About an hour drive from Ait Ben Haddou village we will stop by Telouet Kasabah.
This monumental site is worth-visiting.
Five years ago, this kasabah knew a restoration process.
Next, we will make our way across Tichka pass of the High Mountains where the submerged mountain hillsides are assembled with muddy-made houses of Berber families.
Once ending up in Marrakech, you will be transferred to your hotel where you will get your dinner and spend the night.
We are pleasantly happy to end up our tour in the red city of Marrakech wishing you a safe flight back.
